Here at Grazia we love, love, LOVE a real fashion film. So we were super-excited to hear that the BBC are screening the 2008 documentary detailing Valentino Garavani’s last years as head of the House of Valentino (the magnificently-tanned designer is now retired, having handed over the designing reins to Alessandra Facchinetti).
And so, we present you with these intriguing stills from the wonderful documentary. For the full story, and even mooore amazing photographs, check out this week’s issue of Grazia.
And after seeing this adorables parade of pugs, we felt we HAD to turn to the wit and wisdom of the Grazia Daily readers for a caption contest, just to waste a bit of time at work..
The pugs said to accompany the king of eveningwear everywhere Mr Valentino goes. He even said "I don't care about the collection. My dogs are much more important," and reveals that they are such a handful that he has to rely on the services of a dog butler (!) in case they get too boistrous.
Over to you ladies . . . . .
STORYVILLE: VALENTINO – THE LAST EMPEROR will be shown on BBC Four –on May 31st
