We asked Chace to choose his top British style icons. And you might be surprised about who did, and didn’t, make the grade…
“She’s number one! She’s the new girl on the [fashion] scene. She’s got quite the smile. And a nice figure for an array of different styles. Every time she looks pretty. She’s very classy. She looks like Leighton here, this is definitley the kind of dress Leighton would wear…”
“I just kind of like her. And I really like her singing. This [look] is going a different way. It’s interesting and unique. She almost looks like Ed [Westwick] here.”
“Definitely in my top five style wise. She’s been quite the fashion icon for a little while now. I always thought she looked gorgeous in the David Yurman ads. Fashion wise, Kate’s more old school, but she’s got that sexy effortless look”.
“I met her and she’s cool and I think she’s gorgeous. She’s also charming and she’s really fun and funny. That’s a pretty smart outfit – it looks like some of the things I chose for my 5pm Fixes this week! She’s pretty cute in that, and I like her hair too”.
“She’s in the top 5. If you want someone fashion, she probably puts more time and effort into that anyone. Not sure if that’s a good thing. That’s the difference between her and Kate Moss. And Cheryl’s style is a bit simpler, and that’s maybe my thing - [a girl] who can wear boots and not just have to be in heels all the time”.
“Ooh, Leona Lewis! Can I have six? She’s always very classily put together. I worked on her video [for her track I Will Be]. She’s beautiful and quite classic.”
And who didn’t make the grade?
“It might be the little Red Riding Hood basket [NB actually a CHANEL straw box bag!]. I think she looks gorgeous… I’m just not too [sure]… She seems supercool. Those [cycling shorts] are crazy. It’s definitely a pretty sexy outfit.”
“Wild suit – if you can pull it off, do it. She’s in music so she can get away with more.”
“She’s in New York now. I met her. She’s got her own interesting style.”
“I’m not sure about this. I don’t know about that [outfit]… There’s those…uh… pom-poms.”
