Precocious twitteraholic singer turned bizness woman Lily Allen is going to team her clothes rental business with a sideline in reality TV stardom, Grazia Daily discovered today.
Oh yes. The project, with her sister and business partner Sarah Owen is called Lucy In Disguise and is due to be launched this summer at the Vintage at Goodwood Festival - a music, vintage, retail (and even hairdressing) event at Goodwood this August.
Lily had previously announced "I'm doing a vintage clothes shop with my sister, it's amazing stuff that would be really expensive but we're renting it [out] for a fraction of the price, so girls can come and get dressed up for a night out and have a laugh."
Now, Channel 4 have confirmed they are going to work with the pop star and fashion muse;
'It is happening. The name and how many shows there will be is still undecided. It is due to go out early next year,' a spokesperson from the TV channel is quoted as saying.
The show is going to revolve around her career in retail, and the nail-biting ups and downs that the girls will go through to get the posh frocks out to the customers.
'It's about making fashion democratic, that's the idea behind it. It's about getting really nice clothes but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won't cost them a million dollars,' said Lily.
VERY sneakily, Grazia Daily can also reveal that, due to our showbiz connections on Grazia magazine fashion desk, a fashion telly expert of our acquaintance who is involved with the project assures us that there will be no shortage of drama taking place in the feisty Allen sisters’ shop! Oooh, and indeed errr.
