Pictured here, our top Best Dressers from last night’s shenanigans. See the Cat that got the cream, D-Mo and J-Lo leading the glitterati plus Amanda going schizo on us in a back-to-front frock... Oh err!
We begin today’s selection with a touch of sparkle. Both Demi Moore and Jennifer Lopez twinkled away while promoting their new films on US telly, and although we’re bowled over by Ms Moore’s Oscar de la Renta number complete with a paillette mosaic for the "Late Show With David Letterman" (please God can we look this good at 47), J-Lo’s abundance of shimmering spangliness is a tad eye-watering for an early morning appearance, no? As glitter-hungry magpies, we do love a sequin or two but we advise saving this dazzling dress for the disco. What, it’s Lanvin? Ah... Oh ok, you’re forgiven.
Why settle for one dress when you can combine two? No doubt these were Amanda Seyfried’s sentiments when she walked the red carpet for her latest flick "Mother And Child". From the front, the Bodyamr dress appears to be a simple silk shift accented by an exposed zipper but wait! Turn around and ta da: a curtain-esque design. How cute! After Leighton Meester surprised us all by flashing a fringed cape, could this two-in-one effect be an emerging trend we should take onboard? Perhaps, but we fear it could lead to a LOT of befuddlement... Case in point: when seen on the Bodyamr AW10 catwalk, this dress was worn with the curtains at the front, which only makes us want to twist it round on Amanda’s tiny frame, especially considering the neckline dips at the ‘back’. Oh Seyfried, we appreciate you’re going the quirky route but really, you just look silly. We've never digged the head-on-back-to-front look anyway (call us crazy).
On the up side, we’re going to give these ladies some love for flying the British flag over in LA last night at the launch of BritWeek (oh, aren’t those Americans kind?). And an extra round of applause is in order for managing to co-ordinate their outfits, too. Still sporting that purple rinse, Kelly Osbourne’s gone from Coachella-cool to classic-chic in one simple step courtesy of her curve-defining dress and darling black gloves – she looks set to board the Good Ship Lollypop in such a lovely creation. Meanwhile, Cat Deeley also went for a cream-coloured number with her floaty number glammed up by gold accessories, including a delicate Sweetie Signature gold bangle from Links of London. Oh heavens, she’s just so dreamy... You’ve done us proud, girls!
We finish up with another treat from Ms Minogue who’s considered one of the most stylish women in the world...most of the time. Yes, there’s no doubt our Kylie is one of the few people on earth who can pull off gold hotpants but a pair of canary yellow trousers? We’re not so sure... They’re cropped harems buttoned up at the side, they’re from Emilio Pucci’s SS10 collection, they’re giving us a headache. You?
