From Nicola Roberts going all-blue to our very own Guest Editor looking suave and Olivia Palermo's fashion misstep, we round up the Best Dressed from the day gone by... Have a browse then let us know which one's your pick of the bunch.
We’re expecting to see a whole slew of double denim wearers now that spring has sprung and setting a fine example while out and about in London yesterday was Nicola Roberts. She embraced the style by whipping up a blue-on-blue look consisting of a faded denim jacket paired with matching jeans and a simple nude tee. By breaking up the denim with a splash of red, the clever Girls Aloud-er has successfully made it modern and turned a tricky trend into something super cool. Take note ladies.
Even Grazia Daily’s Guest Editor wore denim when he took us out for dinner at The Brompton Club last night (we’ve trained him well). Over to you, Chace: “what can I say? I’m from Texas so I like my boot-cut blue jeans. I can’t migrate to skinny jeans. I like them, but they hurt, they’re uncomfortable. That’s more Ed [Westwick]’s style. He still has his London rocker style. I just like to wear jeans and a favourite T and a baseball cap and some boots.” Looks good to us, Chace.
The petite pixie-like Jaime Winstone rocked onto the red carpet last night for the premiere of her new flick, 'Boogie Woogie' and made quite an impact, Madonna style. Going for one part sultry vixen (note the Dolce & Gabbana SS10 corseted cocktail dress and strappy suede heels) and one part grungy rocker (see the smoky, winged eyes and mussed-up hair), she manages to look exotic and edgy all at once. Towering over her BFF, Daisy Lowe joined Jaime and looked ready to hit the beach with a touch of boho-luxe. We’re head over heels for the agate print and flowing chiffon of her stunning Alexander McQueen maxi-dress, which exudes the perfect hippy vibe. Nicole Richie would be proud. More of this please D.Lo and less of the skantily-clad.
Hopping over to New York, we have a glowing Helena Christensen at the very swanky Tribeca Ball. The model stuck to the trusty silhouette of an LBD, beautifully glammed up by puffed shoulders and elegant draping on the skirt. What else is there to say than LOVE! As for Olivia Palermo, we never thought we’d say this but something just isn't quite right with her outfit. We don’t think dull and drab is quite what she had in mind when she choose this Rachel Roy AW10 frock but unfortunately for her, it makes her look really rather frumpy. Considering she lives in a world surrounded by wonderfully vibrant fashwan delights, this is particularly bemusing. And yet the finishing details are nice – a feathered clutch, strappy sandals and a sophisticated bun... Could Olivia be regressing? Surely not!
