Quelle surprise! It’s common knowledge that Jennifer Aniston has interpreted the LBD every which way and for her final stop in Madrid yesterday, she was back to her favourite silhouette. But wait, there’s another shocker - this little number is by none othan other than Valentino, proving once again that it's the designer's faithful charms which Jen consistently falls back on. Oh so predictable you might say but on closer inspection, the frock’s unconventional decoration - the leather paneling, drop waist, shimmering embellishments plus those on-trend heels - ensure she avoids snooze-dom. Just.
Looking fashion fabulous, Amanda Seyfried also embraced some sparkle with an overload of sequins. For the London premiere of her latest flick, the actress opted for this youthful navy and black tank dress that’s sashayed straight off Doo.Ri’s AW10 catwalk. Pierre Hardy heels, soft blonde curls and bold red lips were the only additions needed to seal the glam deal. We can expect to see lots more of the dazzling starlet with the release of tear-jerker Dear John as well as rom-com Letters to Juliet, and being the magpies we are, we’re counting on Amanda’s promo wardrobe to bring lots more glitz.
For a lesson in sweet simplicity, look no further than Emmy Rossum who looked adorable at a climate change debate in New York. We’re loving the vibrant red tone of her off-the-shoulder Donna Karan dress and the ruched effect brings a dose of individuality. Hip, a little bit sexy and effortlessly chic...until you reach the ankles and WOAH! Now we all know that nothing has quite so great an effect on transforming an outfit than a pair of killer heels, but a word to the wise: spiky feathers + bondage straps on a pair of peep toes teamed with such a cutesy dress is not advisable. The question is, can we even be sure they are shoes? We have a sneaky suspicion Emmy ran through the Zoo on her way to the event and put both feet into a porcupine by mistake... Thoughts?
