By Malene Birger opens in London

We’ve long been fans of Danish fashion house, By Malene Birger’s designs – slightly bohemian, very easy to wear and at a frankly fantastic price point, the feminine prints, fantastic day dresses and soft separates are always a welcome addition to our wardrobes.

And whilst there are ways of getting our eager mitts on to Malene’s wares already, we’re pleased to announce that there’s a flagship store for us to ransack (whoopee!) – situated on the ever glamorous Marylebone High Street. Of course, no launch is complete without a fabulous party, darlings. So, to keep you in the loop, here are the facts and inside info from the in-store party…

The Menu:

It was a fusion of traditional Danish cuisine with a modern euro twist. Yum.
Wild mushroom millefeuille with fresh girolles and porcini
Involtino of coeur de saumon, lemon zest, fresh dill and horseradish crème fraiche
Brancaster lobster bisque salad with fresh tarragon and roast tomato tartar
Chargrilled fillet of dry-aged Hereford beef with bearnaise

Oh, and plenty of Champers…

The crowd:

All of the coolest London ladies, including Ben Grimes, Sharleen Spiteri, Jameela Jamil, Clara Paget, Eliza Doolittle and Lara Bohinc.

The Goss:
Ben loved a pair of By Malene Birger shoes so much she almost took off with them as she wanted to wear them out afterwards, whilst Jameela spun some tunes and munched her way through two packets of Haribo she exclaimed just how much she loves DJing and would want to do more, and Clara Paget chose a MB sunhat to be her summer festival staple – so keep your eyes peeled for that come festi-season.
