A Week in the Style of Victoria Beckham

26 March 2010

We don’t need any more persuading that Victoria Beckham is a bona fide part of the fashion industry. Her last collection shown at Paris Fashion Week to a select group of fashion insiders proved to be a huge success – even with some of the most fearsome fashion critics. Then we spotted countless celebrities like Cameron Diaz and Demi Moore choosing to wear her dresses over the usual red carpet gown providers for their many outfit changes throughout the Oscars. Cementing her status as a designer to be reckoned with (don’t forget her first collection sold out within hours) you can most definitely put her WAG days of denim hot-pants, hair extensions and orangina tanning firmly in the past.

VB’s new style is more comparable to Jackie O or Audrey Hepburn this week (with the addition of some killer heels, of course). Naturally, VB has been wearing A LOT from her own ranges (including denim, sunnies and the frocks), and whilst we love her looking all smart ‘n’ sexy in a black silky shirt dress or asymmetric LBD (both from her A/W’10 range), we’ve also enjoyed her ‘casual’ looks (note to self - Victoria’s casual is not really the same as our kind of casual). Her first laid back look comprised of a Chanel boucle jacket worn with nude jeans from her own line, and the second – even better outfit - saw her slink into skinny cargo pants and tailored black tux – very of the season and very, very relaxed for Mrs B. Maybe her days of such style rigidity and strictness are finally over…. We hope.
