And the Parisian wardrobe marathon continues. Heading up the latest bloom of FROW-ing gals was Alexa Chung at yesterday’s Louis Vuitton show. La Chung was kitted out in a multi-coloured tweed coat accented with over-sized khaki pockets and enlivened by a bold maroon bag. What more could you need? A head of feminine waves perhaps? Yes please!
Although Marc Jacobs grumbled that he didn’t want celebs cluttering up the FROWs, more famous faces arrived at LV courtesy of Pixie Lott and Daisy Lowe who perched alongside Alexa. We’re pleased to observe that the girls kept it snug in winter wear but it’s Pixie’s clashing combo of stripes against tartan that really has us enthralled. Oo don’t you just love a dollop of English eccentricity amongst all the Frenchies?
But giving the Brit gang a run for their money was yet another hip trio in the shape of Caroline Sieber, Julia Restoin Roitfeld and Leigh Lezark. These girls know how to work a bright flash into Parisian chic by colour blocking with pretty pastels or donning colour popping heels against a black ensemble. We’re taking note, pronto.
For today’s finale, we return to our favourite hobby: Moss Watch. Kate rocked this beaut of an outfit while on Longchamp promo duties and we confess that we’ve fallen a little (ok, a lot) more in love with La Moss because of it. The beloved Breton stripe shirt is the ultimate staple item (at least 3 Graziaettes are wearing theirs today) and it’s not hard to see why it’s long been a firm favourite for French fashionistas. Casual + versatile + chic = total perfection. So take a tip from Mossy and layer yours under a navy-inspired cropped jacket, throw on a pair of skinny jeans and you’ve got the look nailed. Easy peasy!
