Alice in Wonderland’s sister blogs from premiere!

After the premiere of Alice in Wonderland last night, there is Alice fever in the office. Those who were lucky enough to see it said it was amazing! It was also a huge event for everyone involved in the film (obviously) and we caught up with the lovely actress Jemma Powell, who plays Alice’s sister in the film, as she got ready for the London premiere…

‘It’s the Alice in Wonderland world premiere and it's POURING.....in true British style it had to be raining didn't it?

Having gathered together my outfit with the help of Ceril Campbell - Temperley dress, Stephen Webster armband specially designed for the event - then hair and make up by Bella Campbell, most of the red (green) carpet was spent trying to keep dry! With photographers screaming 'get the brolley away from her!' the whole thing was fairly hectic.

Then TV interviews- 'what would your Wonderland be made of?'- this was my very first question, and having not eaten dinner I was starving...I
blurted out 'sweets!'. Next question 'what was it like working with the most beautiful man in the world?'- recovering my 'sweets' answer I replied, 'who, Tim Burton?'- journalist not impressed.

So walking in to the Odeon Leicester Sq drowned rat style....more photographs but undercover now so beginning to feel a little happier....

The film was wonderful- everything I expected and more......some really strong performances and the animation was simply genius.

Then it was off to the Sanderson Hotel for the after party....... lovely warm vibe- where everyone who worked on the film were gathered...and
brilliant that EVERYONE was there. Tim, smiling constantly gave me a beaming congratulations. Anne Hathaway who mirrors my character in
Wonderland was divine.....Matt Lucas wearing black tie with  Tweedledee and Tweedledum jacket designed by Tim....a delight to meet. Mia was as gracious as ever......dressed in Valentino...

All in all it was a very fun and very WET night!’
