Red Hot Trend – Fashion Pub Quizzes!

Anyone who thinks that fashionistas spend their time perched on teeny stools sipping delicately at Manhattans and twizzling olive sticks coquettishly are behind the times. Well behind. These days it’s all pints, pens and paper. Yep. You can barely squeeze into the corner of certain hostelries in East London, so full are they of designer-clad darlings downing gin and tonics, nibbling nuts and competitively answering questions on the heel heights of Manolos.

Next week on Monday 15th, the Book Club bar in Hoxton will be hosting its first LFW Charity Fashion Quiz, and putting the Fah! into fabulous with a line up that includes Henry Conway as your compere, a signed Mario Testino book as the main prize plus champagne, Swarsovski goodies and cupcakes galore. It’s all in aid of the NIA project, a Hackney-based women's charity. And its £10 in for a table of four. Sounds like Grazia Daily’s kind of evening.

On 22nd February, it’ll be the turn of The Marksman Pub on Hackney Road to host its fashion quiz soiree. Now, someone sent over a few sample questions to Grazia towers and neither the words ‘fiendish’ or ‘difficult’ could quite go all the way towards explaining our feelings – this one is for the REAL fashion geeks, although they will have creative rounds too (involving plasticine we think).

As far as trends go, we can’t really fault this current vogue. Learning new fash facts, having a tipple and the chance to win prizes. Its girly heaven!
