The September Issue v Devil Wears Prada
Of course, we weren’t the only ones tucked up on the sofa last night watching the awesome fashion movie marathon that was The Devil Wears Prada followed by The September Issue on Channel Four*...
Like us, you were also probably playing Spot the Difference between the fictional and factual accounts of life at a fashion glossy. Well handily, this YouTube video mash-up of the two movies does all the hard work for you.
*thank you Channel 4, and now pleaeeease respond to all those emails we’ve sent you about rebroadcasting Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange in the Grey Gardens remake at a time that we can actually watch it (ie NOT at 9PM on CHRISTMAS DAY).

- The September Issue was brilliant! I thought Grace was wonderful...amused to see all the male staff in the Vogue office including the senior design chap turn into instant "yes men" when they had to answer Anna...However, Mario Testino miraculously escaped a Wintour freeze after not quite photographing what was required etc. Saw the end bit of "Prada" the plot seemed a bit sappy to me. I missed GG too, hope Channel 4 repeat it soon!
Mira - This movie is simply one of the best chic flick movies that I've seen. It was informative and moving as well. I didn't get the chance to watch it on the big screen but thanks to popular rentals watching it over and over again makes it reasonable.
