Miaow! Donatella spills on scandalous catwalk catfights!

Let’s get one thing straight – typically we’re not ones for indulging in scandalous tittle-tattle (honest) but on a chilly Monday morning, there’s nothing better than a bit of behind-the-scenes bitching. And when it comes from Donatella Versace, the queen of the runaway, and involves two of the world’s most famous super egos in a catwalk catfight, we just couldn’t resist sharing...

So, according to Donatella, the volatile relationship between Linda Evangelista and Kristen McMenamy 'was like watching a movie that never ends' and resulted in the ultimate fashion fight ever, caused by – get this – their ROOTS!

The fashion designer told LOVE magazine, 'Kristen had arrived with black roots in blonde hair, and Linda arrived with black roots in blonde hair; and both of them went mad, both saying they were first.' Ooh-er. The scene was so dramatic that their colourists were called upon for proof, Donatella was summoned as a witness and after examining the evidence, Kristen was declared as the original black root-er. Seriously, when it comes to supermodel scandals, an impartial jury is essential, especially when it involves world-renowned trendsetters and a brand new hair colour...

Now considering Donatella must’ve seen a fair few tantrums in her time, the fact she’s spilled on this one proves it must’ve been a real good 'un. Or is it just a clever way to create some buzz to distract attention away from Versace’s financial hiccups and that unauthorised biography that’s just been released? We couldn’t possibly comment...
