Last night’s best dressed: wild things

Animals prints have been on the prowl for quite some time and it’s not hard to see why when the ultimate trendsetters pounce on the classic leopard spots time and time again. When partying at the Ivy last night, La Moss jazzed up her casual ensemble of C.R.A.F.T Hells Angel jeans and black tee with her favourite furry coat while Cheryl Cole gave the trend a modern twist when sporting a cute tee in Vienna. Also incorporating a powerful print into her evening attire by using a single accent piece was Molly Sims whose bold skirt was a very fitting choice for the African Wildlife Foundation auction in New York. Follow in their sartorial paw prints when unleashing your wild side by sticking to black and so spotlighting the print while simultaneously toning it down. Easy.

Yet another star rocking a striking pattern last night was Ms Paris Hilton. The sparkling heiress glammed it up for her appearance on the 'Late Show with David Letterman' and flew the flag for the British high street by wearing this dramatic sequinned frock from Lipsy’s VIP collection, accessorised with a couple of bold statement rings. Who’d have thought P-Hil would be copying our very own Alexandra Burke who wore the same number just months before? Stephanie Pratt got similarly dolled up in a glittering asymmetric mini dress for a night out in Las Vegas and we say that her bold shoulder gives her an on-trend edge in this battle of the blonde babes, but what’s your verdict?

Cat Deeley and Beyonce brought more blue tones to the evening’s soirees. The beloved TV presenter looked a million dollars for the Damiani Jewellery party in London wearing a striking satin 80’s-style jumpsuit complete with metallic waist-clinching belt and fabulous flares (didn’t we tell you they’re making a comeback?). Meanwhile, Beyonce was launching her new fragrance over in New York and turned up the 'Heat' (see what we did there?!) with a sexy midnight blue Rafael Cennamo dress. How fabulous is the pleated detailing at the hip which doubles up as handy pockets? And we’re loving the skirt’s sleek satin that contrasts with the sheer chiffon texture on the bodice while those fierce heels are red hot so fit perfectly with the fragrance’s theme. What a pro she's become!
