Marc Jacobs’ right hand man appeals for ideas on Twitter

Marc Jacobs and Robert Duffy

Designers, eh? Are they finally running out of ideas? First Dolce & Gabbana's Stefano took to Twitter to ask followers to send in ideas for their next collection, and now Marc Jacobs is at it. Well his business partner and right hand man, Robert Duffy to be exact.  He has used his new Twitter account to appeal for ideas for the staging of the A/W '10 show (a mere three weeks away, FYI). He elaborated that he’d prefer 'something minimal please? I have one week!'

Recent bar-raising catwalk sets include Chanel S/S '10 – in the Grand Palais de Paris transformed into a huge barnyard, Julien MacDonald in London in an enchanted garden OR the models for Jaeger London striding down a strip of luxurious deep-pile carpet. Would that count as minimal?

Mr Duffy is just being his usual ebullient self on the micro-blogging site and not seriously expecting MJ followers to come up with ideas for the brand. Although surely it's only fair that there should be a front row seat, bag and a pair of shoes thrown in to anyone who tweets an idea he likes?!
