Everyone knows London (in terms of fashion at least) is the cabbage patch that all the most talented fashion babies come from, many to grow up and take over the catwalks of Paris, New York and Milan. The reason? Well, the fashion students here have some of the world’s top colleges to choose from (like Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion and the Royal College of Art).
The most talented graduates then continue to be nurtured and supported by initiatives like NEWGEN and Fashion East. The latter is an organisation with a formidable track record (Richard Nicoll, Holly Fulton, Marios Schwab, Louise Goldin, Meadham Kirchhoff, Gareth Pugh, House of Holland, Louise Gray, Emma Cook, Roksanda Ilincic and Jonathan Saunders) and a reputation as a can’t-miss event of LFW, with a starry front row, and formidable figurehead – Lulu Lulu Kennedy and her judging panel inlcudes Style.com’s Sarah Mower, Vogue’s Harriet Quick, and our very own Kay Barron, no less.

This year its our pleasure to announce to Grazia Daily readers that Michael van der Ham (top) and Heikki Salonen are in for a second season, plus the debut of headwear genius Nasir Mazhar form the lineup. (spot Gaga modelling one of his creations, above) Congratulations one and all! We’re already itching for the spectacle to begin!
