Eugh. January. The deepest and darkest fashion abyss that the style world knows of. We’ve all struggled against the elements, the January blues and our ever diminishing bank accounts. But every time we’ve ogled a picture of Kate Moss out and about throughout this dreary time, she’s put us all to shame not only with her ability for tackling every possible change in the weather, but she’s looked cute and relaxed on holiday (great checked shirt and bikini idea) and super glam for Couture Week in Paris too. And me oh my – have you seen La Mossy’s legs recently? They are lookin’ super fine and we’re sadly aware of just how far our wintry pins have to go to be even vaguely presentable. But for inspiration, we're taking a few tips from the style guru... We’ve enjoyed Kate’s shift from all things black - a clever mood for lifting one's wardrobe and spirits! She’s snuggled up in icy shades of beige, grey and cream in her signature skinny jeans + sharp blazer + comfy flat boots combo. Plus she’s wowed the winter crowds in a furry coat that puts all other fuzzy outerwear in the shade.
She’s nailed the ‘oh this old thing’ smart casual vibe whilst hanging out with bezzie pal Stella McCartney in Paris by wearing a quirky-cool forest green suede biker jacket (and this season is ALL about the new wave of alternative biker jackets don’t you know) with some moccasin heels, an across the body bag and a very enviable shaggy side swept do.
Then there’s the ‘legs moment’. At the launch party of her range for Longchamp in Paris, Kate’s tanned stems made a show-stopping performance in a teeny weeny lace mini dress, black Louboutin stilettos and a cute cropped jacket.
