You know that old chesnut - once a supermodel, always a supermodel? Well if not, just take a look at Kate Moss in Paris last night who personified the adage thanks to her monochrome outfit consisting of a lace mini-dress from Valentino’s Resort 2010 collection and a pair of Louboutin stilettos that provide the perfect showcase for her slender pins. Looks like all that winter sun she’s been soaking up recently has seriously paid off. After ditching the green tracksuit (don’t believe us? Click here for proof!), La Moss arrived at the Ritz Hotel to launch the highly anticipated range of bags she’s designed for Longchamp. And along with that white tailored jacket, she was the chicest bag lady we’ve ever seen, ever.
Also rocking a lacey number was Reese Witherspoon who was partying across the pond at a swanky soiree in L.A. We’ve barely seen her out of her comfy tee and jeans combo recently so what a treat to see her all glammed up again in this sexy wrap shift with black satin belt from Jason Wu's Pre Fall 2010. Joining Reese at the gala benefiting EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund was country darling, Taylor Swift in Valentino, and top model, Molly Sims, both bringing brights to the proceedings in asymmetric dresses and nude heels. How marvellous is Molly’s sumptuous plum lipstick? We’re so very happy to see yet another fashionista jumping aboard the purple trend bandwagon.
While out and about, Emily Blunt and Leighton Meester were dressing down in neutral ensembles. Ditching those wacky ensembles that have caused quite an eyesore of late, the Gossip Girl played it safe(r) in a snug winter warmer and geek chic glasses and added a touch of kooky cool with a fabulous pair of chunky buckled boots. Meanwhile English rose Emily rocked what we believe to be the new black leggings – grey skinny jeans. Made cool by Miss Moss (how handy that she has hair to match now), they’re the versatile way to do casual chic. And we’re loving her sharp shouldered jacket too. Stick to a grey palette if you’re after the same effect - we sure will be.
