You might know her as sidekick to Gok Wan on his Fashion Fix, a rock chick from her ‘80s days playing bass in The Fall or The Bangles, but as well as her media career, Mrs Smith-Start really knows her fashion; from spangled eveningwear to the hardest-to-find item of all – perfectly fitting jeans.

Her fashion business with husband Philip Start has grown from a single menswear boutique in 2002 to four shops plus a great online boutique.
