After a season of celebrating a league of British talent returning to London Fashion Week, it seems that this February we will be saying ‘cheerio’ to some again. For Peter Jensen has decided to show his collection in New York, after a decade in London. The Danish born designer has been a firm favourite on the catwalks since he graduated from Central Saint Martins in 1999, with a degree in menswear. After showing twice during menswear fashion week in Paris, Peter launched a womenswear range and has shown them together in London ever since. His cheeky, quirky and distinctly Nordic designs have led to an international cult following and he has collaborated with Topshop, Topman, Fred Perry and B-Store. His move to New York will undoubtedly open up to a bigger market to him, and if he decides to stay more than one season this will surely take him from cult to commercial.
