Ooh we just love a new face on the fashion scene, and these ladies in particular have given us loads of style eye candy this year…
If there’s anyone who knows how to experiment with style, it’s 23-year-old starlet Camilla Belle. The actress has really cemented herself on our fashion radar over the last few months, always using her access to the top designers to surprise us time and time again with a new look – whether it’s in terms of colour, length, shape or fit. She always keeps the hair and accessories really simple so all you really focus on is the usually amazing ensemble and her girl-crush inducing smile. Well, perhaps it takes a break-up with a Jonas brother to do it, eh?
The Gossip Girl ladies
Um, have we mentioned that we love Gossip Girl? Oh okay, maybe once or twice. And perhaps even more than the show, we just adore the trio of fashionistas who head up the cast. Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Taylor Momsen have burst onto the style scene this year and boy are we happy they did. Blake rocks everything from designers like Victoria Beckham to high street labels like our very own beloved Topshop, always keeping things sexy (albeit sometimes a tad revealing, but hey if you’ve got it…), sassy, layered and bright. Whereas Leighton, although she’s had a few questionable fashion moments lately *cough* psychedelic leggings, crop top and waist coat… and that’s just one outfit *cough*, is the queen of classic sophistication when she keeps it simple and chic. And finally
From Roland Mouret glamour to sharp shoulders and casual cropped jeans, Zoe Saldana (yep, remember her from Crossroads?) has crept up on us like a fashion force in the night… or day, whatever. She’s elegant, beautiful and knows how to master simple sophistication while still keeping things fun and not looking old beyond her 31 - wait, she’s 31? Wow - years.
There’s nothing better than a Christian Dior campaign to throw you truly into the fashion spotlight, right? When award-winning actress Marion Cotillard starred in two short Film Noir-inspired films for the label this year, she wow-ed us all with her feisty performance and smoking look. Now, she’s a regular presence on our best-dressed lists, whether it’s in a strapless white Grecian number for the Nine premiere (her most recent film) or in a tailored coffee-coloured number tres reminiscent of her Lady Dior character. J’adore.
