Fashionista playing cards!

04 December 2009

You know like on The Royal Family where they all sit around at Christmas just eating and watching TV? Well, my family isn’t like that. Instead, we’re all run ragged playing one festive game after another (I’m in it for the mince pies being passed around… promise) with a pack of cards I think my Dad has had since the 80s. So, this year I am absolutely obsessed with getting this pressie to ‘fashion’ things up a bit. A pack of 52 playing cards. But oh no, these are not just any playing cards. These are the limited edition beee-autiful playing cards designed by the likes of Alexander McQueen (sigh), Vivienne Westwood (major sigh), David Bailey, The Chapman Brothers and Damien Hirst! Tres gorgeous and sophis, they were first designed to be auctioned off in aid of the homelessness charity, Shelter (and raised a w-hopping £100,000!) and have now been re-launched just in time for Christmas. All profits will go to Shelter and there are only 1,000 packs available so get your skates on, ladies. J’adore!
