It’s only a few days to go until we can finally get our hands on the Sonia Rykiel for H&M lingerie range and by the looks of last night’s launch, we’re in for quite a treat! Set in The Grand Palais, the event saw a surreal spectacle including Parisian funfair rides and fairytale floats carrying an abundance of models, including Lily Cole, clad in the beautiful lingerie. Among the 2,000 guests was Kate Bosworth who said 'I've always been a big fan of Sonia Rykiel. To me she is so feminine, and so wonderfully dramatic, like a big glittery bow on a dress.' And it was with such an oversized bow on her sparkling nude frock from the designer’s S/S ‘09 collection that the actress perfectly matched the enchanting fantasyland. Also in attendance was Eva Herzigova whose outfit offered its own visual delight. Her voluminous Sonia Rykiel coat complete with multi-coloured feathers and silk lining was thrown over a sexy sequin shift and accessorised with a green clutch. We’re now seriously considering sporting an equally flamboyant get-up for Saturday’s release... Alice Dellal took her FROW seat dressed in a significantly less girly outfit but added some glamour to her signature leather look with a mane of corkscrew curls. Très bon ladies!

Meanwhile, London was having its own designer celebration... Ever since Grazia Daily heard John Galliano has designed his very own Oriental-inspired Christmas tree for Dior, we’ve been waiting with baited breath for the grand unveiling and last night at Claridge's, a lucky few finally got a sneak preview. Daisy Lowe worked the lingerie trend Galliano has been championing on the catwalk with her Christian Dior sheer lace dress that flashed her under garments. We’re loving that cute Pauric Sweeney ball bag! Also seeing in the festive season in a stylish frock was Ben Grimes who chose an animal print pattern and flirty chiffon fabric which gave her an unexpected feminine vibe. Amber Le Bon looked girly too in a silk chemise tucked into her high-waisted mini skirt. Those black tights and comfy booties ensure she’s winter proof but still monochrome-chic. Top marks all round.
