Carla wears Stella for Gap Kids military jacket!

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy

When Carla Bruni-Sarkozy appeared on French TV on Monday night to sing a breathy duet with Harry Connick Jnr of the Beatles ballad And I Love Her, the song wasn’t the only McCartney creation on stage, because France’s minxy First Lady was wearing the 'Miller' military jacket from the Stella McCartney for Gap Kids range! Something of a departure from her usual demure Dior pieces, we love the way she’s wearing that jacket, so ‘fronsh’, so chic, over a long fitted T-shirt and wide trousers. And, as it’s a kids jacket, it looks brilliantly cropped; how totally OTM.

The model/singer/First Lady/Simpsons character also talked about her upcoming role in Woody Allen’s new movie, claiming that she jumped at the opportunity, even before she knew any details. Asked if she had been told anything about her role, she said, 'No — but I said yes.' She also claims the legendary director made her agree not to appear in any other movies before the release of the film. 'When I’m a grandmother, I’d like to be able say I’ve made a film with Woody Allen,' she added, as if dating Mick Jagger, appearing on countless Vogue covers and being the First Lady of France wouldn't be enough to impress the grandkids...

Watch the video here! Skip to 4 mins 50 seconds to see the jacket (oh, and the duet). [WWD]
