The whole buzz with couture is over its exclusivity and extravagance. Iconic names such as Christian Dior, Chanel, Maison Martin Margiela, Valentino and Givenchy bring one-of-a-kind, custom-made creations to the catwalk – we’re still reeling over Jean Paul Gaultier's weird and wonderful futuristic A/W ’09 pieces – investing hundreds of hours of craftsmanship into one item that will sell for anywhere between £10,000 and £100,000. The highest spenders will be at this fashion week so it’s the perfect place for the most luxurious jewellery companies to show-off their work and meet their customers. Just imagining what will now be shown is already giving us excited fashion butterflies. One word: amazing.
