Yes, there really is a Bridal Fashion Week, and it just took place in
We checked out the major trends from the catwalks (aisles?), and guess what? Next season, it's all about fairytale and feminine detailing (we suspect these might be ongoing themes at Bridal Fashion Week), embellishment, ruffles, beading, pinks, layers, organza – no one held back.
Monique Lhuillier kept her trademark drama with frosty ‘Winter Wonderland’ make-up, '40s-style hair accessories and full skirts. We're loving the lace-detailed gown with opera coat for its vintage feel. Vera Wang went for some très chic monochrome with touches of black ribbon and jewellery to create a striking and edgy contrast, although she still stayed true to the luxurious mermaid skirts and ruffles. Badgley Mischka sent models out in more classic figure-hugging gowns, showing off every curve and with beee-autiful beading embellishment. While A-List favourite Jenny Packham kept things luxurious and ultra-girly with bejewelled collars, strapless dresses and sweetheart necklines. We’re a little bit obsessed with Jenny's short dress with feathered skirt for a real rock-chick trip down the aisle, whereas the gorgeous sheath dress with floral detail screamed classic Audrey Hepburn glamour. Check out all these pics to see what all the fuss is about. Amazing!
Of course, all these incredible creations aren’t out until spring (boo) but that just leaves you plenty of time to search all the collections to find your perfect ensemble for the big day. And, y'know, find a groom...
