Ok, we’re not going to pretend we’re so fashion naïve as to think there was no magazine magic involved in those beyond-stunning pics of Demi Moore in W, but even we didn’t see this one coming. Popculturemadness, an uber on-the-ball blog has picked up on the fact that Demi’s body on the cover looks remaaaarkably similar (scratch that: identical) to a certain Miss Anja Rubik’s, who modelled the exact Balmain dress the shot shows Demi “wearing”, on the catwalk at the recent Paris Fashion Week. Has there been some Frankenstein body-switching going on here? The 40-year-old cougar queen has been defending her hot bod in the photos since the shoot was released amid accusations of some serious airbrushing. She even posted an original picture from the shoot on Twitter to prove no Photoshop magic had done, and tweeting (under her Twitter name mrskutcher) "Here is the original image people my hips were not touched don't let these people bull----you!".
But bloggers are now feverishly speculating about the resemblance between Anja and “Demi’s” poses as well as those distinctively jutting hips in the photo. Airbrushing in magazines has become common practice, but recent calls by politicians and body image experts to ban digitally manipulated images in the media have made it extra-controversial at the moment. And we reckon this will just add more fuel to the fire… [Pop Culture Madness]
