The fashion world is still reeling from the news this week that hip Brit Luella Bartley’s label has ceased trading. Fashion fanatics are rallying around, and a Save Luella Facebook group has been set up, but there is an even more fun way to show your support.
Our eagle-eyed friends over at FabSugar have noticed that prices on the Luella website have now been slashed, some to almost half price.
Pieces from the Autumn 09 collection may not exactly count as collector’s items (a la Stella’s last collection for Chloé or Tom’s last collection for Gucci), because we have NO doubt that before the year is out Luella is going to get new backers. But this is still the perfect way to show there is still an audience out there for the designer’s gorgeous designs (and, y'know, get your hands on some brilliant merch). As the Facebook group says, 'Save Luella! Wear pretty dresses!' [FabSugar]
