10 best dressed from the weekend: frocky horror!

halloween

On this fine Monday morning, everyone wants to know: what did you go as? Whether a devilish vamp or just Lady Gaga, we loved having the excuse to crack out our costumes this weekend and it seems we’re not the only ones. The stars also got into the Halloween spirit and looked pretty spook-tacular in their garish get- ups. Check out the ghoulish delights below and let us know whether they’re a trick or a treat…

Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum

As the Queen of Halloween, Heidi can always be counted on to go all-out in a crazy costume. And this year, she didn’t disappoint thanks to this raven get-up for her 10th annual Halloween party. Inspired by a Japanese anime cartoon, the supermodel was dressed in a custom-made coat of black feathers, fishnet tights and OTK Louboutin boots. 'A' for effort but that beak mask and painted face is enough to give us nightmares!

Fearne Cotton

Fearne Cotton

When Fearne tweeted that she was dressing up as 'an evil clown', we couldn’t wait to see what she’d come up with and the result was sheer genius! In a two-tone polka-dot jumpsuit, Fearne played up to her wicked sense of humour and quirky style, but the Geisha-esque hair do with pretty floral accessories kept it on the right side of disturbing. We just wish we’d come up with something so marvellous.

Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama

The First Lady of style turned into a rather glam Catwoman when she invited a bunch of trick-or-treaters into the White House for a humongous fancy dress bash. Although she remained modest in leopard print, cute furry ears and cat-like eye make-up, we’re loving her fierceness, especially since hubby Barack stuck to his classic chinos. Respect for the Mobama.

Pixie Geldof

Pixie Geldof

As an already dedicated fan of the goth-glam style, Pixie has had enough practise with the black eyeliner to work Halloween like a pro. She rocked up at the Browns Focus Party in a simple black maxidress and ghoulish make-up; some oversized chains, a crucifix necklace and Henry Holland dressed as Edward Scissorhands were the only accessories needed to bring the horror factor to her zombie look.

Kelly Osbourne

Kelly Osbourne

Kelly was the fried egg to fiancé Luke Worrall’s rashers of bacon at Heidi’s Halloween extravaganza – and although we’ve always thought the pair complement each other perfectly, this couple costume is the ultimate proof that they really are an egg-celent match! (sorry…)

Rachel Zoe

Rachel Zoe

Ever fashion-savvy, Rachel opted for a couture costume and her Roberto Cavalli gown, thigh-high suede boots and '60s-inspired plaits are just the ticket to celebrate in style. But here's hoping this really is a Halloween outfit and not just one of her boho styling experiments gone wrong...

Helena Christensen

Helena Christensen

We’re not quite sure what look Helena was going for but it’s great to see her bringing a splash of colour to the festivities in New York. Taking inspiration from Katy Perry’s recent birthday bash, the model painted the town all kinds of neon and got a little splattered herself during the process. We love!

Ben Grimes

Ben Grimes

The designer-slash-model joined Pixie on an uber-cool goth-a-thon by also opting for a floor-length frock and dramatic eyes but, paired with a veil, she becomes a bewitching Bridezilla. It’s graveyard chic at its best!

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey

Good heavens! Mariah shows us once again that it’s not just her angelic voice that deserves attention. She relished the opportunity to flash some flesh and opted for a halo and pair of fluffy wings attached to her white corset. But even though it is Halloween, couldn't somebody have bought the woman a skirt, or at least a second glove?! Scary indeed!

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton

Another lady getting her freak on in white was Ms Hilton. It's a given that Paris is all for playing dress up so it was no surprise to see her as the ultimate show ghoul, complete with girlie tutu and enormous feather headdress. We just wish her boyfriend hadn't opted for the same look...
