Gaga in Givenchy?

There’s nothing Grazia Daily loves more than a good mystery, and this one has got us seriously intrigued. Attending the drop of Givenchy’s capsule collection at Barneys in New York, Creative Director Riccardo Tisci explained that he was working on an exciting new project.

'I'm here for work on an upcoming show in 2011, which I'm doing all the costumes for. I can't say much more, but the performance is a combination of music and opera, and will travel worldwide. A project like this has been my dream.'

New York, music and opera? Hmm sounds familiar. Oh wait a second, hasn’t Lady Gaga recently been in New York organising her tour, which she’s described as: 'The theatrics and story elements are in the style of an opera. Imagine if you could take the sets of an opera, which are very grand and very beautiful, and put them through a pop-electro lens.'

Could it be that Mr Tisci is kitting Gaga out for her new tour? We can just imagine the lady herself in some of those Givenchy S/S ’10 prints and sequinned sharp shoulders, or maybe even that monochrome tailored jacket we were all lusting after...

And when pressed on the issue, Riccardo said coyly: 'I can not answer that! I would do a special project for her. I respect her very much as an actress. She doesn't represent what is my world, but I would do something special for her. Because she is a great actress. She is a really great actress.' Oh come on Riccardo, don’t tease us! [NY Mag]
