The hottest thing you'll wear this season!

There are two things that return every winter that almost make the darker nights and colder weather worthwhile. One is the Starbucks 'red cups' (nog nog nog nog nog nog), and the other is HeatTech from Uniqlo.

For the uninitiated, HeatTech thermals are the insider fashion secret that will save your winter wardrobe. If the temperature plummet makes you think bundling up in bulky layers is the only option, never fear: this is the gear that’s going to keep you looking as sleek and sexy as if it’s still summer.

If you think of thermals as being lacey and woolly and grannyish in dreary neutrals, you’re going to love these. Not only are the HeatTech pieces sexy, stretchy tops in a rainbow of happy colours, but they are also coated in a milk protein that actually moisturises your skin (we know – genius! It’s as if they were designed by Willy Wonka!)

And if you’re still not convinced that thermals can be sexy, check out this season’s campaign, shot by none other than legendary fashion snapper Mario Testino, with supermodels Coco Rocha, Lily Donaldson, Karlie Kloss, and Erin Wasson showing us how to rock the tops right.

We advise you to stock up before the TV ad is broadcast [watch it above]. Last year, the range sold out superfast – Uniqlo have sold 50 MILLION pieces since HeatTech launched in 2006, with 28 million sold last winter alone. Now one in three Japanese people own an item of HeatTech clothing – trust us, it’s that good.
