It was a sparkling feast on the red carpet last night thanks to all the metallic frocks and shimmering sequins on display. Sienna Miller made an impact with a bit of bling for the opening night of 'After Miss Julie' in this Balmain dress with sexy shredded edges straight from the SS ‘10 catwalk. Very disco cavewoman! Joining Sienna in New York was Anna Wintour who also chose a metallic look but, ever the fashion pro, she made it age appropriate by tempering her high-sheen shift with a khaki cut out coat. Over on our side of the Atlantic, Amanda Seyfried sizzled in a dazzling Stella McCartney Resort ‘10 dress for the premiere of Chloe while another up-and-coming starlet dressed to impress was Emmy Rossum who opted for this seriously slinky gold gown by Donna Karan.

Demi Moore and Gwen Stefani chose asymmetrical hemlines to flash the best bits of their killer legs while Anne Hathaway continued her obsession for all things Marc Jacobs with layers of colourful feminine frills and a ruched bodice. At the Santa Barbara Film Festival, Diane Kruger chose a simple shift but gave it a girly kick with Alexa Chung’s beloved Chanel booties. Iman miraculously manages to maintain her youthful appearance thanks to her glossy mane and slender figure enhanced by this jaw-dropping Michael Kors dress; she certainly gave Camilla Belle a run for her fashion credos! The actress pulled off this beauty by Marchesa at the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Awards and with it's lace bodice, feather hem and exaggerated shoulders, she ticks off all the trends, proving Camilla is one lady who’s quickly ascending the well-dressed ranks. Another young starlet dressed in white under the spotlight was Diana Vickers who channeled Taylor Momsen’s grunge-meets-glam vibe with her silky frock and colour popping red lip for 'The Rise and Fall of Little Voice' afterparty.
