Is Henry Holland planning to join Agyness in New York?

Designer Henry Holland could be upping sticks and moving to New York, but says he would keep his brand London-based. Speaking to Grazia at the Mad Paperball last night (October 14) at the Museum Of Arts and Design in New York, Holland says that his most recent visit to the Big Apple to launch his fragrance ‘Smell’ has brought him one step closer to moving to the city full time. “I want to move here. Every time I come, the need to live here becomes more and more urgent and I want to go home less and less. I spend my entire time here plotting about how I would do it,” he said. However, Holland, whose best friend Agyness Deyn has lived in New York for some time now, says that in the event of a move to Manhattan, he would continue to show his House Of Holland collection at London Fashion Week. “I would still show in London. I don’t think anyone else has done that- lived here and shown in London. People live in London and show In New York but not the other way around. I feel like what I do is very London, the essence of my brand is very London. It’s is in its DNA, so it would be weird to move it.”

  • Er, I'm not being funny but I suspect thats probably because no where is going to accept HoH as being anything other than a bit of a fashion mockery, possibly only successful because of the holland-deyn bbf-union at the beginning of the label. The label is foul, its a bit of a cheap trick really; bright colours, naff prints, poorly constructed and probably has only been 'well' received because people must think it is so hideous that its become heavenly.
    I Love Aggy though!
