Oh, just try and guess What We’re Wearing this week. Could it be, could it possibly be… pieces from the Grazia Exclusive Collection?
Naturally, there’s nothing fashion editors like more than a fash-off. And where better to start a style fight than Paris Fashion Week? (Take that, Rihanna!)
Armed with early samples of the Grazia Exclusive Collection (GXC), our team have been perched smugly on the FROW at various catwalk presentations over the last few days. Yesterday saw our editor Jane Bruton very nearly out-Stella-ing Stella McCartney in a Grazia Exclusive Collection by Whistles dove grey cashmere coat. And today’s oh-this-old-thing?-I-designed-it-myself candidate is Catherine Nieto, Grazia’s pristine junior fashion editor.
So Catherine, whose daily dress sense suggests she works on the catwalk rather than a computer, has been spotted at the Lanvin show rocking perhaps the most challenging piece from the GXC: ASOS’s sheer mesh and leather striped skirt. A semi-sheer skirt might seem a step towards going Gaga, but Catherine insists it’s super-wearable (and perhaps just a little Christopher Kane); she wore hers with a nudey slip and a black cardigan. 'It’s an easy way to do the underwear as outerwear trend,' and is also intending to wear it over leggings 'really edgy – but also makes your leggings so much more decent'. Gaga, take note.
