Show begins! It's was all about layering.. but layering very closely to the body; so skinny pants sitting on the hipbone (no waistband), with a corseted belt slung over, and a bolero jacket, and a little shirt... lots of different components, but a very narrow silhouette.
The shirts are narrow-shouldered: silk crêpe de chine, with deep cuffs and collars, so quite Æ70s, and high platform shoes to go with, which look ’70s too.
Bowie's Putting Out Fire With Gasoline is the soundtrack...so sexy
Prints are: white swallows on navy blue, or white naked ladies on raspberry (remember SJP in her naked ladies print Prada dress on SATC?)
Then eveningwear was another unexpected mash-up (like at Louis Vuitton); imagine a Holly Hobby dress, short; to the knee or shorter, with smocking detail around the shoulders, on the yoke and at the elbows; and then the body of dress was see-through nude tulle, but covered in flames of crystal like a Strictly Come Dancing costume. Two really opposite things, combined.
This was Miuccia Prada on an arty trip, we'll report back more later when we've had time to reflect...
