Mark Fast designs for Topshop!

Mark Fast

Ever since he used size-14 models in his LFW show, Mark Fast has been the talk of the fashion tow,n having stirred up the never-ending debate over the size of models on the catwalk (see the new issue of Grazia for an interview with his ex-stylist Erika Kurihara!).

But the latest news on the designer comes in a much less controversial, but still oh so exciting, form… Mark’s creating a new range for Topshop!

Everyone’s keeping very schtum on what we can expect from the line, but a Topshop spokesperson did tell us that the collection will be launched in February next year.

'Topshop has always thought Mark is a very inspiring designer, and we supported him with NEWGEN (a Topshop sponsorship award to show at LFW),' she says. 'He has been on the radar for quite a while.' (In fact, Mark only graduated from a fashion MA at Central St Martins in 2008, fashion fact fans, but we think that just shows how ahead of the curve Topshop is…!)

Oo we do like a bit of mystery and can’t wait to see what he comes up with. Some of his S/S '10 clothes were pretty revealing – fingers crossed the high-street versions will come with a range of slips…!
