First Kate Moss in James Brown’s forthcoming salon documentary and now this, it’s almost too much excitement to take. News reaches Grazia that Marc Jacobs is considering taking part in a reality TV series for MTV. Gawker.com is reporting that MJ has allegedly signed on to feature in Kept, a reality show about “high-powered openly gay playboys”. Filming is set to begin in November, with an open casting call taking place in a few weeks in New York.
Last year the designer starred in Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton, a fascinating feature-length film by celebrated fashion documentarist Loic Prigent. Clearly, Jacobs feels he still has more to give. Even within the crazy biznizz of fashion, Jacobs is known for being something of a maverick character, who plays by his own rules, and seems to get a kick out of displaying a kind of in-your-face honesty with the press. So even while the voices in our heads are saying “erm, isn’t this a really, really bad idea..?” we cannot WAIT to watch it.
