Sonia Rykiel pour H&M!

Sonia Rykiel

There’s nothing better than the catwalk coming to the high street. It brings those dream items just that little bit closer, while also keeping our purses heavy enough to help us balance in our skyscrapers.

And after collaborating with iconic designers Matthew Williamson and Jimmy Choo, it seems there’s no stopping H&M as they announce a new line with Sonia Rykiel.

The French knitwear label has created two collections which are going to be so good, that they will be sold in Sonia Rykiel's own boutiques as well as the 1,500 (wowsers!) H&M branches worldwide. The first, a lingerie range, will be launched at the beginning of December, followed by a female knitwear collection that will be available in only 250 H&M stores come February 2010.

'It is a hallmark of Sonia Rykiel to think of all women because fashion is about a certain spirit more than a question of means,' says Nathalie Rykiel, president of Sonia Rykiel.

“This collaboration fits perfectly with our philosophy. The Sonia Rykiel pour H&M lingerie collection is the ideal way to offer the essence of Rykiel to a great number of women around the world, and a beautiful way to close the year. The knitwear collection is perfect for welcoming a colourful new season."

We can’t wait!

  • I think there must be some kind of mistake. As I am informed the first exclusive collection is to reach stores on 5 December (not September). Just to be clear;)

  • Thanks to our eagle-eyed Graziadaily readers, yes the lingerie is launching in December - we were clearly thinking wishfully this morning!
