Gone are the days of lavish fashion parties and free-flowing champagne (well, almost), so it warms our well-clad cockles to know that this season Camilla Lowther is doing something a little bit different. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of her company, Camilla Lowther Management – one of the leading talent agencies in the world – she'll be putting something back into London Fashion Week in honour of it also reaching its 25th year. 'Instead of a huge party, we’d prefer to put money to support upcoming talent in the UK. Ideally, to turn this into an ongoing initiative,' she explained.
Step forward hot new British talent Kinder Aggugini, who has been nominated by CLM as their first candidate for fashion sponsorship. 'Kinder is someone I’ve been paying close attention to since he started, some three seasons ago. I feel his clothes are relevant and enjoy wearing them,' says Camilla, whom Aggugini has since referred to as one of ‘The Three Graces’ in homage to her patronage. So what parties are we looking forward to? First up is the Downing Street bash on Friday, quickly followed by the Browns event on Saturday night, and then there’s Topshop, Mulberry, Vivienne Westwood and Luella to get to over Sunday and Monday. Oh, and of course Burberry’s epic party at their HQ (yep, right where we are at at the moment folks) on Tuesday evening. Phew! Thank goodness we’ve got Brix Smith-Start as our party correspondent… Check back here for daily updates when it all kicks off!
