The fabulous return of Fabergé

Faberge Fabergé

We are all for a bit of Russian decadence. In fact, we are all for a lot of Russian decadence. So it is with open arms (and sunglasses on to protect our eyes from the bling) that we welcome back Fabergé! Its origins may be in the aristocratic and bourgeoisie circles of the 1900s, but most of us will remember it from the ‘80s as it conjures up ideas of Ivana Trump, Joan Collins and Liberace. But yesterday, the French label announced that it is relaunching as a fine jewellery brand, with a global online store. Unfortunately there’s not an ornate egg in sight, but there’s more twinkling and sparkling than you can imagine. Precious gems drip off each piece and you can choose your own jewels by browsing the images of gorgeous stones. We could also tell you that sales staff are fluent in 12 languages, and that anything you want can be purchased via bank transfer and can be hand-delivered anywhere in the world, but as prices start at over £26,000, there are only a handful of us that will require that service. But by God is it worth a peek, we have written our fantasy wish list, and we suggest you do the same…
