Patrick Robinson and Oprah Winfrey to co-chair next year’s Met Ball!

Now we don’t know about you, but not only are we still recovering from Kate Moss’s turban affair at this year’s Met Ball, but we’re still dreaming of ways to carry off a head to toe Louis Vuitton number straight off the runway (Leighton Meester we mean you). So we can barely contain our excitement now that we’ve heard who'll be hosting the Met Gala 2010 alongside Anna Wintour… Gap’s Patrick Robinson and Oprah Winfrey

Forming one of the most eclectic fash-pack power trios in the industry, Robinson and Winfrey will co-chair the event with Wintour, which will take place on May 3, 2010. Moving on from this year’s “Model as Muse theme, the Noughties’ ten year anniversary will be celebrated with an “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity” exhibit, which will explore "how the American woman initiated style revolutions that mirrored her social, political, and sexual emancipation." Phew.

Given that Mobama is pretty much the most fashionable American woman in the world right now (yes, we have moved on from Armgate people), we’re taking bets now as to what she’ll be wearing to the event if she turns up. A Kanye West designed Gap number with Louis Vuitton sneakers? Here’s hoping… [The Cut]
