Oooh! Henry Holland at Debenhams?

09 September 2009

Yay! Debenhams loves Henry Holland too! According to Drapers Record, the department store is expected to confirm any minute now that it has signed the be-quiffed designer to join its elite stable of top fashion names currently designing the store’s exclusive Designers at Debenhams diffusion lines.

Henry’s label, House of Holland, only burst onto the fashion scene in 2007 with it’s cheeky slogan T-shirts ('Wham Bam, Jessica Stam'), but the ex-fashion editor has already become a savvy operator in the industry, collaborating with numerous brands, from Kickers to Topman, and most recently launching a range of tights for Pretty Polly. It seems everybody loves a bit of Henry. And with fashion friend Agyness Deyn as his long-term BFF and muse, Holland is one of the most high-profile faces on the London party scene.

Debenhams designer diffusions are seen as a Big Deal within the industry, giving designers both major kudos, as well as (allegedly) big bucks – Jasper Conran reportedly paid for his Tudor mansion with profits from his J by Jasper Conran range for the department store. Matthew Williamson recently re-signed with the store to launch his Butterfly collection. And it seems Henry is set to follow. Go, Henry!
