Gap pops up for 40th Anniversary

Gap

Gap are on fire at the moment. First they seduced us with gorgeous knits, covetable suede boots and chinos (we never thought we’d write that we had been seduced by chinos, but there you go), and now they are going to get us with their denim. Damn them! But this isn’t just any denim, this is a collection of denim that has been studiously perfected by Patrick Robinson’s design team over months and months and months. It is also a collection that celebrates 40 years of the iconic high street brand. So to mark this anniversary, Gap are opening a pop-up store on Kingly Street in central London, dedicated entirely to denim! For 19 days and 69 hours the three-storey store will sell exclusive and limited designs (no more that 69 available in each style), in new washes and finishes. When the jeans hit New York we read hundreds of Twitters about their amazing fit and finish, so we can’t wait for them to hit here. Not least because Pierre Hardy have created those boots in denim, but also because VV Brown will be kicking off the celebrations on 10 September, and exciting live bands will continue to entertain over the duration of the project.
