My Style: Little Boots

20 August 2009

Little Boots has been on what’s seemed like a never-ending parade of fashion forward outfits lately. We had D&G at The Serpentine, Matthew Williamson at the NME awards and a fabulous Basso & Brooke number from their pre-collection for a gig at The Bathhouse just this week. So impressed have we been with Victoria Hesketh’s on and off-stage style in the past six months, we decided to call our young singing sensation and quiz her about how her style has changed. ‘I have a lot more opportunities now with clothes and designers, so I can experiment and have a lot of fun with what I'm wearing' she told us, 'I tend to dress up more now as there are a lot more occasions to dress up for!' As for designers, Felder Felder, Henry Holland and Manjit Deu all designed custom-made outfits for her over the festival season, and she cites Antipodium, Mawi and Poltock and Walsh as her favourites. 'I like mixing designer with high-street, especially Topshop and Oasis, who we are working on some special designs with.' And naturally, what would the Little Boots wardrobe be without her 'ongoing love affair with Alexander Mcqueen'. Something tells us we might be seeing this lady on a few front rows come September…
