It’s a fash-off: Diane Kruger v Alexa Chung
They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. So when it comes to a style showdown between these two fashionistas, it’s all about mutual appreciation and matchy-matchy chic. When Diane Kruger appeared on It's On With Alexa Chung this week, we couldn’t help but notice her Urban Outfitters floral frock with ankle boots bore a striking resemblance to La Chung’s trademark style. But it doesn’t stop there. They’ve both worn the same white brocade Opening Ceremony dress in different ways and looking back, they're both working embellished shoulders and channelling Chanel together with paired-down hair and make-up. Looks like Diane and Alexa’s sartorial mirroring is set to stay, so here’s hoping more stars take note and follow suit. Although let’s face it, they’d both look great dressed bin liners. - diane definately. The clothes are all fab but alexa doesnt change her hair or make up its the same old style.
samdavies - omg they're clearly on the same fashion wave length which is why we love them so. but alexa often has a more scruffy edge while diane is always sophis so my vote is definitley diane & alexa really should do something with her hair... oh if only we all had their style(ists)!

fashionrat - Team Alexa. Diane may be polished and pretty but Alexa is just so damn cool, and effortlessness just makes her even sexier. An Arctic Monkey as arm candy doesn't hurt either...
carlapolidori - Diane is so chic looking, wheres Alexa just looks like she got out of bed with that hair! No offence to her but i am sick of seeing her twig legs, she never seems to cover them up. I thought Diane was skinny, but Alexa just takes the biscuit. Maybe she should eat one!
SHOEGAL4 - Both always look fabulous, but Alexa has the edge - there's more personality in her style.
jomu - Diane by miles!!! Alexa has really unattractive legs with no shape to them and adorns them with terrible footwear. Her shoulders are also usually droopy, whereas Diane carries herself beautifully and always looks fresh and pretty but isn't afraid to be edgy either.
stummel - Posture-wise, it's Diane. Alexa seems to slouch the whole time.
mash1977 - Diane is just so gorgeous - i have a major style crush. From simple silhouettes to exquisite detailing she carries herself so well.
gennalouise - I'm with Chung, she's got class whilst appearing to not be going for that. Unfortunate tree placement for Kruger, she's looking a little upstaged.

ScarletteVonroe - A time ago I saw Alexa in person in a fashion show, I didnt even know who she was at the moment but I was impressed of how stunning that girl was, even more in real life than in pictures.
cata - diane definitely, but in that pink chiffon dress with the scarf thing she needs to lose the black tights. The material is too light for the dark colour
chanelgirl - The only one who actually is a MODEL is Alexa, whereas Diane went to acting classes early on. Do your research ladies.
stummel - They both look fab!! The only difference is Alexa looks like she has style, whereas Diane looks like she has a sytlist, her look is always too polished!
Kimpenelope - Someone commented that Alexa's hair looks as if she just got out of bed - that's what I like about her! Diane is way too 'perfect' and lacks individuality. Alexa seems to have a genuinely personal style arising out of her own cool fashion sense whereas Diane - as beautiful as she is - seems to have her clothes chosen for her by someone else who simply knows what she should be seen in.
AnnaJ - Alexa pips it on most of the outfits. Her individuality shines out.
MelisW1982 - This is the most ridiculous thing I have seen in a while. Not only has Diane wore some of these outfits BEFORE Alexa but that similar dresses just attest to the common designers and popular pieces that are chosen. Alexa has generic Shoreditch/Urban Outfitters/Topshop...basically try-hard style. Diane, at least, is chic and unpretentious.

maybe you should do you research. Prior to acting, Diane had a successful modeling career, being in campaigns for the likes of Chanel and doing Elle covers etc. The only modeling Alexa done is for cheesy magazines like cosmogirl or the occasional tv advert/music video
shelf - Diane Kruger just has it. I don't see the attraction everyone has to Alexa. She is just dull and always looks likes she's trying too hard. And has she never heard of smiling or is that too ironic?

Sassyrela - I love the little white dress on both, and maybe prefer it slightly on Diane's shape, but Alexa wins as I like the way she's broken the colour up with the belt- something, though not necessarily with a same or even similar belt, Diane's dress could have been improved with.

IntrinsicallyFlorrie - Always Alexa! Always. She pulls off everything! Diane looks like a grandma dressed as teenager, she even has the granny name. I'd bet Alexa has a better personality the way she wears the clothes casually compared to Diane's strict, wierd conformity. *shudder*
annabel87 - I love them both, and they both look pretty cool :) I'd say Alexa purely because I'm British and she always looks a little more edgy.
rachel9090 - I think Diane always looks the best on the red carpet but Alexa pulls off both these outfits and looks better day to day.
Fashion94 - Whilst they might wear the same clothes, they work their looks in completely different ways, - Alexa tries for edgy, grungy cool, and Diane just looks effortlessly beautiful. Both are good, but I wouldn't say it's even a vs - they're not in the same league, it's like trying to compare Jenson Button and Tiger Woods!!

Calmerwater - Can't believe I'm saying this as I kind of dislike Alexa and worship Diane, but for some reason I think Alexa pulls these outfits off a smidgen better than Diane :(

desirablecouk - Diane sticks to the simple yet sophisticated looks she's so good at, and Alexa always maintains her kookiness. As a result, it's a bit of a stalemate, but I really admire Alexa's chutzpah and little bit of quirkiness. And those legs. In those shoe-boots.
JoBc87 - Diane every time. Alexa does try to make the best of herself and has an individual look but she just isn't attractive. Her hair isn't kooky, it's badly cut and shapeless, and she's far too thin! I agree with SHOEGAL4, I wish she'd hide those twig legs away behind some trousers from time to time!
sammyzue - i find alexa quite charming, she's does chic so effortlessely. she's like a contempory miss hepburn, with fabulous shoes.

Sosoto - I love Diane and think she's one of the most beautiful women in the world and yet there's something strangely bland about her, as if her stylist has spent hours trying to make her look effortlessly chic. Alexa in contrast obviously has a natural flair of fashion and although I think her boyish legs are quite unslightly, that girl knows how to work some awesome and easy chic looks so I am adding another notch to Team Alexa.

jrossi - I prefer Alexa's dress but just don't think those heavy black boots are flattering. in know she's got a great figure and i know it's very Fash Now, but it just makes her feet look like Miss Frankenstein's.

tjgear - Not overly sure about the two tone hair Alexa is sporting these days but definitely wins in the style stakes...Diana looks great but you get the impression it's not quite her style
