Katie Fogarty's tumble at the S/S '09 Prada catwalk show last year became one of the talking points of the season. (Not to mention the most-viewed video on YouTube). The models spoke of their fear backstage seeing the series of stumbles that followed. The pretty pop socks teamed with the shoes quickly became the culprit. And when the samples themselves arrived in our offices, we couldn't resist trying them on and doing practice catwalk walks up the corridor. (FYI, they were actually surprisingly easy to walk in). But it seems fashion doyenne and creative director Miuccia Prada was one person totally relaxed by the drama. ‘I liked it,' she said simply in a recent interview with W magazine. ‘It made the show more interesting.' And the designer obviously has a penchant for a bit of fashion drama wherever she goes, always dressing for big occasions at the very last minute. ‘It's important that you feel right, so I use an instinct at the last moment. What I think is unbearable is to wear something that we don't feel comfortable in... There is a very tricky [relationship] between the occasion and your mind at that moment.' If only we could master that dress-and-go skill. We guess having a fully stocked Prada wardrobe probably helps... [W]
