There's a hole in my wardrobe...

In this first of a new short August series, the Grazia team look forward to the fashion we want to become our staples for the new season.

Episode 1. There's a CHURCH'S WHITE BROGUE shaped hole in my wardrobe...

BROGUE

Been obsessed with white lace-up man-style shoes for over a year. First, in September 08, I got a cheap patent pair with black laces from Camden Market. In February I fell upon a Rupert Sanderson cream pair of jazz shoes, also with black laces (I saw Sienna Miller wearing her version of them last week.) I wore both pairs out. What with the lace-up brogue shoe being the flat-shoe of choice for Autumn/Winter 09, I figured by now I would be over white brogues with black laces. Not a bit of it. The desire is stronger than ever. And so in honour of that white brogue shape hole in my life, I have decided to get the ultimate pair of white brogues from Church's. The Trad English shoe-maker was bought by Prada five or so years ago, and is creating the most elegant shoes. They are expensive. But I know these shoes will be worth it!

  • Church's brogues are SUCH a fab investment. PS, there's a Church's at Bicester Village. I went on Friday... no white brogues but lots of others.
