Victoria Beckham – the new American Idol judge!

After Paula Abdul's shock exit from American Idol, our money was on Cheryl taking her place, but our favourite Brummie has been pipped to the post by – drum roll please – Victoria Beckham. Hang on, Posh, the last we heard you were quitting LA and moving back home? Clearly Mr Cowell is a hard man to refuse. Before you get overexcited though, VB will only guest judge in two or three episodes, reportedly earning her a £155,000 fee. A bargain really, considering we'll finally get to see Posh smile (surely the sight of a 10-year-old blonde boy singing Westlife's Flying Without Wings will crack that pout?) catch sight of David, Tom, Eva et al in the audience and be reminded of that duet she did with Dane Bowers. Priceless.
