Inside Roberto Cavalli’s world

03 August 2009

Ever wondered what it would be like to step inside the 32-acre Florentine estate of one of the fashion world's most lavish and flamboyant designers? Read on folks. Because following his commission last year of a one-bedroom home to sit alongside the main house where wife Eva still resides, Roberto Cavalli's new bachelor pad boasts a DJ booth, custom-made bed, helipad and a specially hardwired switch that changes the adorning glass balconies and frontal facade from pink to green. Not to mention a well-stocked wine cellar, outside waterfall, jacuzzi and state-of-the-art movie projector. The designer has called the neighboring property 'a personal space, a place to work and do my things,' but somehow we don't think he'll be that lonely what with his miniature monkey, German shepherd and 'the real lady of the house' –a Persian cat named Pussy - for company. Place your bets now as to whether he'll be booking front row seats for them come September... [T Magazine via Fashionologie]
