Beauty 118: Your questions answered

Wow, you had a lot of burning beauty questions last week! So we've searched through the shelves of the beauty cupboard to find the best products to sort you worries out pronto. If you've got a question that hasn't been answered, just post it below or email graziadaily@graziamagazine.co.uk

I have blue eyes - what colour eyeshadow would you suggest to bring out the colour? - HeadtoToe
Brown, bronze and taupe are great shades to make blue eyes stand out so you can use a shadow or a liner to get the most out of your true blues.

What can you do with fine, wavy (or frizzy) hair if straightening has had its day but au natural looks seriously awful - MissySissy
You could try a Brazilian blow-dry, which is a treatment that helps control wavy, frizzy hair and is available at Daniel Hersheson and Trevor Sorbie salons. Alternatively, use a product such as Kerastase Nutritive Bain Oleo Relax shampoo and Masque Oleo-Relax conditioner which makes hair more management. Or you can try Mark Hill's new Style Secrets Silkening Creme Serum. It's light weight yet powerful enough to control frizz.

I have mid-length side-swept bangs and am due for a haircut soon. Should I let them grow out, or will they be fashionable for a while longer? - Charlotte92
Fringes were huge last season, so much so they'll be around again for A/W ‘09. I wouldn't suggest a fringe for summer as it's not good for the fringe/sweaty forehead scenario BUT seeing as summer is a non-starter, I would give the fringe another season as it'll be oh so cute with winter coatigans, chunky scarves and navy eye shadow.

I've been looking at primers recently but im not entirely sure what they do or which one to get? Could you offer some help and advice please? - shopaholic86
Primers have silicone in them which helps get rid of excess oil so that when you apply foundation it has an oil free surface to adhere too. It'll also keep skin oil-free throughout the day so that your make-up stays put for longer. GOSH primer, available in Superdrug, is one of the best.

What is the solution to getting rid of blackheads? - KLA
You need a pore unblocking mask like Bliss Pore Perfecting Facial Polish or Dr Brandt's Pores no more vacuum cleaner blackhead extractor (Dr Brandt 0208 740 2085 www.spacenk.com, Bliss www.blisslondon.com)

I am awful at finding foundation! I have VERY pale skin and like a very light and sheer coverage, and brands/tips? - MabelD
NARS have a great selection of pale shades and they have a choice of glow or matte textured foundation. The coverage is sheer, not too heavy and lasts all day. Also try Nicola Robert's (as in Girl's Aloud) Dainty Doll make-up which she developed for her very pale skin.  It's available at Jelly Pong Pong.
